SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11TH OVERVIEW

The Taste of Drummond’s "Big Ten Tailgate" theme is as fun as the food is delicious! This year’s Taste showcases cuisine from Bayside Dining, C Cup Cakes, Esther’s Authentic Mexican Cuisine, Deb’s Restaurant, Lutz Boys, Mary's Unique Baked Goods, Moose Lodge, Pins Bar & Grille, The Northwood Restaurant & Bar and Sune’s Grocery.

It’s not a tailgate party without beer so Lily’s Seafood & Micro Brewery from Royal Oak keeps the beer flowing with nine distinct micro brews named after Drummond Island destinations. A full bar is also available for purchase.

Listen to live music all day from Ashley Stefanski, Toni Saari, The Morton Brothers, Gary & Tim VanAlstine, DJ Ron Frey and Backbeats! A Beatles Tribute Band.   Using
authentic instruments, clothing and hairstyles, The BackBeats transport their audiences on a Magical Mystery Tour of yesteryear, when the whole world first heard the four names of John, Paul, George and Ringo.

There will be 30 plus Artisan Vendors from across Michigan showcasing a variety of unique goods and delicious offerings including The Lord of the Ghourd’s carving demonstrations, a 5K Walk/Run benefiting the DeTour Area Schools sports programs, strolling entertainment by Tommy Tropic, a fun-filled one-man-show with juggling, uni-cycling, magic and physical comedy, a photo booth, kids’ games and prizes, a giant bounce house and autographs from Clifford the Horse.

The fun doesn’t end at 5 pm though because that is when the ever-popular Pub Crawl starts!

The Pub Crawl will have two buses again this year!  The continuous loop includes stops at Bayside Lounge, Chuck’s Place, Moose Lodge, Pins Bar & Grille, and The Northwood.  The buses are FREE and you can get on and off as often as you like.  Or, take your own vehicle—each bar has a different themed décor and their employees are dressed in wild costumes to match—it is an absolute must see!  There is no fee for Pub Crawl participation.

Saturday’s festival admission is $12 for adults, $5 for kids six-18, and five and under are free.  Taste tickets must be purchased for all food, beverage, and games.
